Part of letting go of digital clutter involves giving yourself a break from digital stimuli. Each Sunday the challenge is to step away from all devices. This week we will begin with one hour. During this hour, do not check your phone, look at the computer, or even watch a movie on an iPad.
Turn it all off or plug it all in to charge and pursue another activity:
- Read a book or magazine
- Go for a walk
- Work on a craft project
- Go out for a coffee
- Visit a friend
- Call someone on a landline
- Go for a drive
It doesn’t matter what you do, just be sure you are completely separated from your devices (where you won’t be tempted to check them). Today you only need to step back for one hour, but in the coming weeks we’ll be increasing the amount of time.
